Choice in restaurant in evening very limited and expensive. Wine list poor and expensive. Breakfast did not have the choice of previous stays and service poor - coffee machine not working and getting a pot of hot water for tea took too long. Potager was scruffy and looked uncared for.
We did not stay in the hotel but had the most amazing massage and then spent an hour in their brand new beautiful spa. The whole spa area is beautifully decorated, the staff are very helpful and the whole experience was luxurious and relaxing. Will definitely be going back to treat myself to another massage again.

The extras: Very pleasant and quiet setting for a stay close to the sea. Very friendly welcome at reception and in the restaurant. Comfortable bedding and very nice sea view balcony.
Classic and rather good breakfast, special mention for the herbal teas from the garden.

Cons: room (in the historic part of the building) which requires serious maintenance, particularly the carpet which was certainly clean but had a dirty appearance. (Tasks + unappealing color)
And unfortunately poor soundproofing inherent in an old building, especially coming from the floor above.
Good overall but no commercial gesture following the cancellation of a duo massage. Having booked the hotel on this main criterion and organized our 2 days around it while being informed at the last minute, we could not postpone, it was quite frustrating. We would have appreciated if they offered us breakfast for example or even just a bag of herbal tea from the garden, in short a gesture of attention which shows that we sympathize with the customer's disappointment, it's a minimum ....Luxury must not take precedence over the authenticity of a beautiful place like this....
